New Moon in Capricorn 2026

Today, January 18th, 2026, is the New Moon in the sign of Capricorn. This is a Moon in which you can decide clearly and objectively, it makes you emotionally “cold” even though underneath you feel everything.

It is also very productive because several planets and luminaries are together: the Moon, Mercury, Mars, and the Sun in the sign of Capricorn, with Venus and Pluto in the sign of Aquarius joining in. All of this can be translated as follows: the sky opens the space for you to coldly analyze your emotions, your image, your actions, the value you give yourself and others, and where you are going. It allows many things you resist to come to light, which gives you much greater clarity, and the “lesson” can be very beneficial.

There are also opportunities to make what you desire more concrete, ideas for acquiring financial gains, but everything requires planning and concrete action. On the other hand, you may feel extremely stirred up, uncomfortable, ignoring what you feel, proud, plunged into sensitivity and absorbed in routine or very defensive.

With this New Moon in an Earth sign, you can organize any kind of personal project. You will see the results with the New Moon in Taurus (May 16th, 2026), which will allow you to continue moving forward and see further positive results with the next Earth-sign New Moon in Virgo (September 11th, 2026), finally closing the cycle with the next New Moon in Capricorn (2027).
